How to List Your Product on FarmerMarket.ng

Listing your products on FarmerMarket.ng is simple and straightforward. Follow this step-by-step guide to get your products online and ready for buyers.

Step 1: Log In or Register

  1. Log In: If you already have an account, click the user icon (on desktop) or the hamburger menu icon (on mobile) to log in.
  2. Register: If you’re new, click the same icons and follow the prompts to create an account.

Important: After logging in or registering, you’ll see a notice if your profile is incomplete. To list products, you must update your account with the following details:

  1. Phone number
  2. Address
  3. Local Government Area (LGA)
  4. State

If you skip this step, you won’t be able to add or list any products.

Step 2: Navigate to the Products Page

  1. Once your profile is updated, click the Products link from the menu.
  2. You’ll be taken to the Products Page, where you can manage your listings.

Step 3: Add a New Product

  1. On the Products Page, click the Add Product button.
  2. A form will appear. It will look like the screenshot below on desktop. On mobile, the display might be slightly different due to the smaller screen size, but the fields remain the same.

Step 4: Fill Out the Product Form

Fill in the form with accurate details about your product. The following fields are required:

a. Product Title

  1. Write a clear and descriptive title for your product.
  2. Example: “Fresh Organic Tomatoes – 50kg Basket”

b. Category

  1. Choose the most relevant category for your product from the dropdown list.
  2. Example: “Crops”

c. Price

  1. Enter the price of your product in Naira (₦).
  2. Example: If the price of your product is ₦15,000, enter 15000.

d. Description

  1. Provide a detailed description of your product. Include key features, condition, and any other relevant information.
  2. Example: “Freshly harvested organic tomatoes, free from pesticides. Perfect for cooking, juicing, or resale. Available in 50kg baskets.”

e. Location

  1. Select your Local Government Area (LGA) and State from the dropdown menus.
  2. This helps buyers know where to purchase or inspect the product.

f. Images of Product

  1. Upload up to four high-quality images of your product.
  2. At least one image is required.
  3. Tips: Use clear, well-lit photos that show the product from different angles.

Step 5: Publish Your Product

  1. Once the form is correctly filled out, click the Publish button.
  2. Your product will be submitted for review.

What Happens Next?

  1. Approval: If your product meets all requirements, it will be approved and listed on the marketplace.
  2. Disapproval: If there are issues, your product will be disapproved, and you’ll be notified to address the highlighted problems.
